Reader’s Question:
My friend wants to hire a DUI lawyer to help him on his DUI charge here in Jacksonville, Florida. He said that he was advised to be careful about an overextended lawyer. What does an overextended lawyer mean?

Overextended lawyers are those who charge rock bottom prices but they take too many clients. They have too many cases and if they don’t have the firm resources to back them up, these lawyers would not be able to do a good job on all of their cases.
Your friend has to be careful about paying a lawyer for his/her saturation marketing instead of his/her skill, expertise, and attention. Ideally, a DUI lawyer should not take more than one new case each month in order to handle his advertising overhead. A lawyer who will take two or three new clients to cover advertising overhead could be alright, but beware of anything above that. In that situation, your friend’s case will not be handled exclusively, or even primarily, by the lawyer he is thinking to hire. He would want a Jacksonville, Florida DUI lawyer whom he is more than just a number. The good DUI lawyers get plenty of referrals and raise their fees rather than taking more clients.
